When there are large scale or difficult vinyl tile removal projects or glue down carpet removal projects, Titus Restoration is the contractor equipped to handle the job.  Titus is using the industry state of the art equipment to save its customers money on vinyl tile removal projects.  Our large Blastrac BMS 270 ride on tile scraper removes most of the mastic during the vinyl tile removal process.  We remove vinyl tile floor coverings and coatings such as black mastics, carpet glue, epoxy toppings, parking deck coatings, and elastomeric floor coatings.

Older black mastics are often exposed after vinyl tile removal.  Black mastics and the newer tan mastics are not compatible and typically require removal prior to application of net vinyl tile.

Thick sticky mastic from glued down carpet in small areas is removed prior to grinding.

Vinyl tile removal exposes tan mastic that must be removed prior to grinding and installing the polished concrete floor.

Many of our projects require the removal of vinyl tile (VCT), mastic, quarry tile, carpet, or epoxy coatings prior to the Blastrac® steel shot blasting. Titus owns a 50 inch riding grinder for the removal of mastic on larger projects, and 20 hp concrete floor grinder, 7.5 hp concrete floor grinder, and 3 hp concrete floor grinders for small and mid sized projects (not to mention several 5 and 7 inch vacuum assisted hand grinders for edging concrete floors). Titus can perform mastic removal either wet or by dry vacuum assisted grinding.

Vinyl tile (VCT), quarry tile, and carpet are quickly and easily removed by Titus’ Blastrac® 270 tile remover.
