Removing vinyl tile and mastic can be difficult. Titus Restoration Services, Inc. specializes in removing vinyl (VCT) tile. When there are large scale or difficult tile or carpet removal projects, Titus Restoration is equipped to handle the job.

In most instances, removing vinyl tile also requires mastic removal. The newer tan mastic can be quite sticky and also difficult to remove.

The older black mastic may appear to be hard and brittle but it quickly clogs diamonds and resists grinding. This black mastic is not compatible with the vinyl tile mastics used today and should be completly removed. Once the vinyl tile removal is complete, Titus removes the mastic by grinding and then hones the concrete to eliminate scratch marks that may telegraph through vinyl tile that is waxed to a high gloss.
