Below you will find pictures and links to other pages describing Titus Restoration Services, Inc.’s work.  We specialize in vinyl tile removal and refurbishing these old concrete floors by concrete polishing.  The process includes scraping off the VCT tile and grinding off the remaining mastic.  Once the vinyl tile mastic is removed, the concrete floor is densified with a silicate densifer which hardens the surface of the concrete approximately 400 percent.  The concrete floor is then polished to the level of sheen desired by the customer, typically 800 grit to 1800 grit.

Black mastic must be removed or covered prior to installation of new vinyl tiles as it is not compatible with the newer mastics used today.  Replacing VCT with polished concrete elimated the possiblity of VCT failure, moisture vapor transmission problems, and it reduces the maintenance cost.  PLUS...POLISHED CONCRETE IS GREEN!
